Dedicated to fostering inclusive environments and transformative leadership through intersectional praxis, Sirius equips organizations and leaders with the tools and skills necessary to lead authentically and empathetically, driving positive change and building resilient and inclusive communities. Grounded in a commitment to social justice and excellence, Sirius strives to shift narratives, expand possibilities, and cultivate environments rooted in liberation and justice for all people.

SIRIUS BONNER IS…

As a Black, fat, queer, cis-woman, Sirius lives at the intersections of many identities. Her passions for Black liberation and racial justice, gender justice, and fat liberation all stem from her experience navigating harmful systems. Through these experiences, she developed a sharp, intersectional perspective and a deep commitment to advancing justice in tangible, lasting ways.

Sirius is a co-host of The Body Trust® Podcast, a platform focused on body liberation and dismantling diet culture. She is a recognized speaker, trainer, facilitator, and coach, known for delivering compelling keynotes, writing incisive Op-Eds, and being featured in Forbes. Her work in advancing inclusive workplaces was honored with the 2014 Compass Award.

Currently, Sirius is the Executive Director of INTERSECT, a nonprofit driving intersectional gender justice in Oregon. Previously, Sirius brought her leadership and expertise to her role as Vice President of Equity and Inclusion at Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette. She was the Special Advisor to the President and Chief Equity and Diversity Officer at Clark College, directed diversity recruitment at PSU, and worked at Reed College as the Director of Multicultural Recruitment in admission, a major gift fundraiser, and coordinator for the Multicultural Resource Center. Sirius has also collaborated with a diverse group of organizations, including Planned Parenthood Federation of America and many Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country, Cascade AIDS Project, Meyer Memorial Trust, and the Center for Body Trust.

Sirius earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Reed College. She currently serves on the board of the North by Northeast Clinic and has previously been on the boards of The Women’s Foundation of Oregon, Seeding Justice (formerly MRG Foundation), Grantmakers of Oregon and SW Washington, and the alumni board of Reed College.

Sirius is a strategist, leadership coach, and systems thinker, bringing expertise in intersectionality, organizational transformation, workplace culture, and policy development. She works with executives, teams, and institutions to foster leadership practices that drive success while prioritizing equity and belonging.

With a deep understanding of how identity, power, and culture shape organizations, she helps leaders navigate complexity, build strong teams, and create environments where people thrive.
